The shirt
“This is the here and then, media from the same space, different time.” From the practice, in the serif, stacked on the chest, the heart in Mementōte pink.
Stencilled by hand, one shirt at a time. The edges are soft, the paint sits a little unevenly, and no two come out the same.
mementote.co runs round the hem, front and back, in the same black.
A thrifted tee, or one of ours, cotton or a blend. Sizes XS to XXL, cut unisex.
How it’s made
Two ways, one price.
- On a shirt we find
- A thrifted shirt, or one of ours, in the size you choose. Stencilled, then sent to you.
- On your own shirt
- You post us a shirt you already have. It is stencilled and sent back. Where to send it comes with your order; the shipping at checkout is for the way back.
Each shirt is one of a kind. Thrifted shirts vary in colour and fabric, and every stencil comes out a little different. The picture shows it on natural.

The shirt laid flat. Chest is across, armpit to armpit; length is from the top of the shoulder to the hem.

For a shirt we find. Thrifted shirts vary by maker, so each is matched to these as closely as possible.
Care
- Wash cold, inside out, with like colours.
- Tumble dry low, or hang it to dry.
- Don’t iron over the print. No bleach, no dry cleaning.
Shipping
Stencilled when you order it: it leaves us in 2–5 business days, then takes 3–7 by standard post. To US addresses for now.
On your own shirt: the 2–5 days start when it reaches us. Postage to us is yours.
- Standard shipping: $6, about 6–12 business days in all
- Express shipping: $18, about 4–7 business days in all
